What is The Bill Phillips 'Body For Life' Program All About?
By Mike Singh Platinum

If you are wondering about the Body for Life you have heard about, this page will serve as a starting point. Then you can decide whether or not to buy the book. This program involves following a healthy eating plan and a fitness routine. You do not have to join a gym to take part in this program because Body for Life is the name of a best selling book that details how you can eat and exercise to have the body you want.

This book has an intense exercise and nutrition program and is based on the idea that if you can see results in a relatively short time, you are more likely to stick with a program.

The Body for Life book gives before and after pictures of people who have successfully used the program.

The program presented in the book is designed to give you great results in twelve weeks of intensive workouts and eating six small meals a day.

The workouts involve weight training for 45 minutes a day, three days a week and aerobic exercises for 20 minutes a day three days a week. The seventh day of the week is free. You do not exercise and you can eat whatever you wish.

The foods you eat in the six small meals are taken from a list of healthy foods, such as chicken, turkey, brown rice, vegetables, fruits – all the things you know are good for you.

The intention of the program is to teach you how to eat sensibly to lose weight and keep it off and at the same time encourage you to become fit. The book provides encouragement for you to keep going even though there are times when you will want to quit.

Eating For Life

Bill Phillips promotes the idea that eating should be a pleasure--a good thing one can turn to in a confusing world. At the same time, he believes people should be healthy, energetic, and happy with their bodies. In EATING FOR LIFE, he outlines his plan for achieving these goals. Starting with the story of his own weight loss, he debunks not only the low-carb diets but dieting in general, and, in frank language tinged with humor, explains simply and clearly his own alternative eating plan, which involves six small meals a day.

This book is about discovering how to nourish your body the right way and then learning to apply the information in this book, so you can enjoy greater health, reduce body fat and gain energy!

Eating for Life is not about dieting. It's about feeding your body, not starving it.

The book breaks down the recipes into categories: Desserts, Breakfasts, Lunches, Midmeals, and Nutrition Shakes.

I have tried Body for Life a couple years back and it is a very good starting point for someone who wants to lose weight and tone their body.  I still follow the "eat a carb and protein at each meal and eat 5-7 meals per day" , which is a very good concept to continue on with.

I do own the Eating for Life cookbook and use most of the recipes in it.  My favorite is the Turkey Sloppy Joes, I could eat them almost everyday! It also has very versatile recipes, as my husband is a picky eater and I can make almost every one of the recipes to suit his needs.
